Well after nearly a year of looking I have finally done a deal . It is for the B2150 HST with FEL and BH I posted about recently.

I got a tractor engineer to go and have a look at it, he 'phoned to say that he can't fault it and only found one problem, a small oil leak on the backhoe. He mentioned it to the dealer who is going to fix it. He said that he didn't warn them that he was going he just turned up so that they couldn't warm it up or anything . It started first time and runs really well. He said that it is as good as they said it was and that someone had been there and offered cash but they turned it down as they had promised it to me .

I can't wait to take delivery of it, I just have to send them a cheque and then arrange for someone to pick it up for me . It will be at least a week so that gives me time to make some room in the garage for it .

Of course as I have only driven one a few yards it will take a while to be confident on it.

Regards

Andy.

That's very good news Andy. Congrats! The first few times I had my tractor transported of use the tractor to unload an implement from a flat-bed, I was very happy the transport driver also know how to operate tractors. That's a very likely situation if a tractor dealer arranges transportation and maybe unlikely otherwise. I'm sure glad I didn't have to drive the tractor off the truck first time, and I'd still just as soon the driver does the loading and unloading since they do it all the time.

If the driver unloads it, I'd call his attention to the backhoe if it's mounted. I dragged mine the last time I went up the ramps on a float trailer with a dovetail (Ramps on other types of trailer are going to be steeper). It's real easy to do, and I may have broken the hoe if I was going off instead of on.

Hi Tom

I will make sure that the dealer checks that it is loaded and I intend to be waiting ready to supervise the unloading. I am trying to get a firm with a low loader so that the ramp isn't too steep.

Thanks for all your comments over the past few weeks.

Regards

Andy. ....
